ABSTRACT
This article aims to analyze and comment on Law 13.460 of June 26, 2017, citing some articles and the impact of the law on municipal bodies. Law 13,460/2017 provides for the participation, protection and defense of the rights of users of public services of the public administration. Also known as the Law for the Defense of Public Service Users, Law 13,460/2017 was drafted to “to strengthen" the relation-ship between citizens and public authorities. If the public agency were a private company, Law 13,460/2017 would be compared to Law 8,078 of September 11, 1990, which provides for consumer protection and provides other provisions, in other words, the Consumer Protection Code. Its 25 articles explain the public ser-vices provided by public agencies or their delegated agents, prioritizing quality ser-vice to citizens. Law 13.460/2017 It discusses preliminary provisions, basic rights and duties of users, manifestations of users of public services, ombudsman offices, user councils, continuous evaluation and final and transitional provisions.
