Mock sessions of the Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais: A case study of a university extension project

The aim of this paper is to explore and report on the experience of university extension students and young people from the academic community who had the opportunity to experience simulated negotiation sessions in the Minas Gerais Legislative Assembly, with total immersion in legislative debates and practices. This experience was based on a university extension project that organizes thematic simulations inspired by political bodies of international relevance for university students, providing opportunities to debate unique topics that are not widely appreciated in the classroom, which promotes active learning and fosters greater interaction with the subject being debated.
